# 2.2	Decentralized Storage Drive (DeDrive)

Decentralized storage systems consist of a peer-to-peer network of user-operators who hold a portion of the overall data, creating a resilient file storage sharing system. DeDrive will be hosting storage for users in the blockchain as an innovative version of centralized storage drive and cloud services. We will partner with AWS and Alibaba Cloud to build this service. In addition, DeDrive can also provide a management console on the whole file system, which can create, read, update and delete (CRUD) the data within the storage.

Most importantly, the DeDrive is designed to enable storage in different chains, not limited to IPFS, Sia, ETD, Filecoin, and Storj. The managing portal of the DeDrive can allow the user to select storage on different chains.
